Wire Shelving

Wire Shelving

For the past 50 years, wire shelving has been used in commercial and industrial establishments around the world since it is a versatile, durable, and strong storage solution. Today, wire shelving is also found in many residential homes and garages, since it has a wide range of applications and benefits associates with its use.

Also known as ventilated shelving or wire decking, wire shelving is most often used in the food service industry like restaurants, and retail stores like grocery markets due to it being easy to keep clean and sanitary, while also resisting mold and rust. Because of these important benefits, along with its lightweight and availability in a wide range of dimensions, retailers also use wire shelving in industrial applications and individuals buy them for home food and supply storage. Another major plus for using wire shelving is they can help reduce the spread of fires by allowing sprinkler systems to flow right through their open design, unlike solid shelving that might block water flow.

These are the three types of wire shelving that we offer:

Chrome Wire Shelving

Chrome wire shelving is the most popular and versatile type of wire shelving as it is ideal for dry storage applications and easy to assemble without requiring tools. These wire shelving styles have a highly reflective finish that resists marring, scratches, and other cosmetic damage. Thus, chrome wire shelving may be extremely light and easy to move around, but they can hold a lot of weight, depending on model and configuration, up to 800 lbs. per shelf.

Epoxy Coated Wire Shelving

Epoxy coated wire shelving is a great storage solution for humid or wet environments, as they are highly effective against corrosion and rust. In fact, the special finish baked right onto the steel, allows it to resist rust up to seven years. Our Epoxy coated wire shelving comes in three different colors; green, black, or gray.

Stainless Steel Wire Shelving

Stainless Steel wire shelving comes in solid or wire shelving styles, can hold up to 800 lbs., and have a metallic look. These wire shelves are most commonly used in hospitals, laboratories, and other areas that focus on cleanliness or have a corrosion or rust concern. This is because these wire shelves are 100% rust proof. Therefore, even if the surface gets damaged, the steel that's exposed will not rust, making steel wire shelves ideal for use in humid areas, the outdoors, and in corrosive environments.
